So the Irish Government wants to build a road through Tara. Sure that’s grand altogether. Never mind that ol’ messin’ about it being the ancient capital of Ireland, a sacred place known the world over or bout it being untouched by man for the best part of 5000 years, sure isn’t it only a lump of old mud. I think its high time we built over this, but I beg a moment of your time to ask the question, why stop at Tara? Sure isn’t the island full of old crap.
I humbly suggest the following construction projects.
i) Build a bridge from the Giants causeway to whatever its counterpart is in Scotland. This would reassure unionists while making it so much easier for the ol’ Ulster Scots speakers to go have a chat in Ullans.
ii) Turn St. Stephens Green into a round about – think of the time saved if we could just whizz from Leason Street to the Shelbourne without those bloody trees in the way. Sure no one uses it except bloody students.
iii) Turn the GPO into a shopping centre. Sure isn’t it in a prime site and all.
Ah grand so, sure it turns out someone thought of that before me GPO to turn into Shopping Centre
